Lifeguard Certification and Re-Certification Courses

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course
March 29 and 30 OR May 5 and 6

This course is for those interested in becoming a certified lifeguard. Upon completion, participants will receive CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED, First Aid and Lifeguard Certification. Participants must pass a swim test on the first day of class to continue with the course. No refunds. Must be at least 15 years old, and the class must have 4 participants to be held.

Days/Times:

  • March 29 / 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • March 30 / 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Register by: March 22

OR

  • May 5 / 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • May 6 / 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Register by: April 30

Location: Knowles Y Indoor Pool – 424 Stadium
Cost: $175 Y-member; $250 Non-member

American Red Cross Lifeguard RE-Certification Course

This course is for lifeguards renewing certifications. A swim test is required the first night of class and participants must be 15 years old. This is an American Red Cross class taught by YMCA personnel. Must attend all classes to pass the course.
