Results from 2014 Little Olympics

Two records were broken in 2014. They are:
- 4th Grade Boys Broad Jump – 7 ft 1.5 in, Bryan Snyder of Belair
- 4th Grade Girls Regular Relay – 35.43 seconds, West
More than 650 fourth and fifth grade boys and girls converge on Adkins Stadium on the first Saturday in May for the Little Olympics.
Students will participate in track and field events including the 40 yard dash, 60 yard dash, 240 yard shuttle, 300 yard shuttle, 440 yard run, ball throw and broad jump. In addition, awards will be presented to one outstanding boy athlete and one outstanding girl athlete from the public and parochial schools. Candidates are selected on the merits of leadership, scholastic achievement, courtesy and athletic ability.
Students participating attend the following schools: Belair, Callaway Hills, Cedar Hill, Concord Christian, East, Immaculate Conception, Lawson, Moreau Heights, North, Pioneer Trail, South, St. Joseph, St. Peter’s, Thorpe Gordon, Trinity Lutheran and West.
