Submission Grappling & Freestyle Judo (Ages 18 & Above) - [Register for Judo]
This class is a combination of traditional grappling arts. You will learn a variety of moves; jujitsu, Russian Sambo, Greco-Roman. The class emphasizes on takedowns, chokes, and submission moves. Judo builds confidence, is an excellent form of exercise, and is the most practiced martial art on the planet. The only equipment required is a uniform called a judo-gi. Judo-gis can be purchased at a martial arts store or from the class instructor, Derrick Winder.

APRIL & MAY Registration Information:

Day: Monday & Thursday
Time: 7:00-8:00 p.m. (Beginners)
8:00-9:00 p.m. (Advanced)
Location: Knowles Annex
Monthly Fee: $25 Y-Member
$37 Non-Member

JUNE, JULY & AUGUST Registration Information:

Time: 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Monthly Fee: $20 Y-Member

USA-KIA/KARATE/TAE KWON DO (Ages 6 & Above) - [Register for Tae Kwon Do]
NEW! NEW! NEW! MARTIAL ARTS PASS! Each registration will receive a pass from the Knowles YMCA to use for any 4 sessions. Earn a Black Belt in this exciting class geared towards, discipline, self defense, personal exercise and individual confidence. Advance through the respectable belt levels to earn up to the highest levels. Your instructor would be Brad Spraggs, 4th degree black belt, and Mark Elliott, 5th degree black belt.

Day: Tuesday
Times: 5:30-6:30 p.m. (Ages 6 & 7)
6:30-7:45 p.m. (Ages 8 - 13)
7:45-10:00 p.m. (Ages 14 & over)
Location: Knowles Annex
Fee: 4 Sessions - $20 Y-Member
4 Sessions - $35 Non-Member

YMCA Fall Karate Tournament
Includes Forms, Sparring, and Weapons. All belts and ranks are welcome. Each participant will receive a YMCA medallion.

Competition: 9:00 a.m.
