Coach Don Eisinger Barracuda Swim Team Scholarship

About the Scholarship’s Namesake:  Don Eisinger has been a Coach with the Barracuda Swim Team since 2013. Don also served as Barracuda Parent Board President and has been involved in every aspect of Barracuda swimming since the 1980’s.  During this time, swimming has evolved with new techniques and training methods, and he has implemented new ideas and the program has prospered during his tenure.  He has exemplified the YMCA core values of Respect, Responsibility, Caring and Honesty in his time with the Barracudas swimmers. He has mentored new coaches and been a role model to them as well. Parents look to him for information and guidance on how to make their swimmer stronger and he consistently communicates with them in a professional and caring manner.

Don has demonstrated true leadership and can be counted on to take on any task to help the Barracuda team, and the YMCA.  For the past several years, he has chaired The Great Escape Triathlon which benefits The Barracuda Swim Team and the Jefferson City community as a whole.  He is instrumental in the Barracuda Swim Team and the YMCA Aquatics Program.  For these reasons and many more, this scholarship bears Don’s name as a tribute to all of his contributions here at the YMCA.
