Turf Room

The YMCA’s 8,000 square foot Turf Room is located at the Knowles YMCA at 424 Stadium. The room will offer open play and can be rented for practices and parties.

RULES

Turf Room is under video surveillance. If you are found to have damaged property in this room or broken any of the rules below, you may be held liable. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • No food or drink on the turf. You may bring a closed water bottle.
  • No chewing gum, candy, sunflower seeds or tobacco products permitted.
  • Clean athletic or training shoes are required – No cleats.
  • No active hitting of baseballs outside of the cage (ground balls are allowed).
  • A helmet must be worn in the Batting Cage at ALL TIMES during batting practice.
  • If pitching to a batter, the pitcher must be behind an L Screen.
  • No soft toss or hitting off a T into the middle dividing net.
  • No climbing on any nets or fence.
  • Teams are liable for any damages to the Room or Equipment. This includes but is not limited to walls, fence, lighting equipment and flooring
  • Please do not raise and lower batting cages without prior permission.
  • All teams and Individuals must clean up after themselves.
  • Anyone not following the turf rules are subject to removal.
  • Return all workout equipment to proper place.
