Our Speaker – Rev. Dr. Stephen “Steve” Buchholz
Rev. Dr. Stephen “Steve” Buchholz is a retired pastor with 50 years of ordained ministry. Pastor Steve is currently serving part-time at First United Methodist Church in Jefferson City as pastor of Visitation and Congregational Care. For more than 30 years, Pastor Steve was the Senior Pastor of Central UCC church in Jefferson City. He has also served churches in Melbourne, FL; Wentzville, MO; and as interim supply after retirement at Immanuel UCC in Sedalia and Columbia UCC.
Pastor Steve grew up and attended public schools in Owensville, MO. He then earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Denver, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry Degree from Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis.
Dr. Buchholz has been married 51 years to his lovely wife, Becky, who is a retired emergency room nurse. The have two grown children, Anne and Chris, and five grandchildren.
Pastor Steve enjoys playing golf, exercising, playing music and singing in church and symphony choirs. He also enjoys serving the community on several boards and committees, one of which is the YMCA Board of Directors.
